At Gibbs Financial Firm, we strive to assist all of our clients in their tax needs, however, we understand that situations arise. If your refund is offset by the IRS, student loans, child support or your check is mailed, you are still obligated to pay our company the fees associated with filing your tax return.

 By signing this agreement you acknowledge that if payment is not made in full within 15 calendar days legal actions will be sought to resolve payment.

Single/HOH/MFS* with no Business Income or 1099 starting at $300

Single/HOH/MFS* with Business Income and/or 1099 starting at $500


MFJ/QSS** with no Business Income or 1099 starting $450

MFJ/QSS** with Business Income and/or 1099 starting $650


*****Final pricing is determined by the number of total forms and schedules, this is just base pricing. Most of our clients pay us base prices but those with more than 2 W2s/1099s/schedules for Single/HOH/MFS or more than 4 W2s/1099s/Schedule Cs for Married Filing Jointly there are additional fees.******

Please note if you are not entitled to refund due to tax liability or tax offset, you will have to satisfy the invoice within 10 calendars. Failure to do so, will result in being sent to collections.

I am giving Gibbs Financial Firm permission to prepare all forms related to my tax return. To apply for and secure RAC's and RAL's on my behalf, sign all necessary forms and file my taxes electronically. I take full responsibility for the accuracy of this form and understand that Gibbs Financial Firm and/or associated affiliates hold no responsibility for any misrepresentation or false claims.

Engagement Letter


This letter is to inform you, the taxpayer, of the services we will provide you, and the responsibilities you have for preparation of your tax return.


Tax Return Preparation Services

• We will prepare your Form 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, and applicable state tax return(s) based on information you provide. Services for preparation of your returns do not include auditing or verification of information provided by you.

• This engagement does not include any audit or examination of your books or records. In the event your return is audited, you will be responsible for verifying the items reported.

• Assisting you with your compliance with the Corporate Transparency Act, including beneficial ownership information reporting, is not within the scope of this engagement.

• The tax return preparation fee does not include bookkeeping. Additional fees apply for these services.

• Fees charged for tax return preparation do not include audit representation or preparing materials to respond to correspondence from taxing authorities.

• Preparation fees do cover limited assistance and consultation during the year.

• The engagement to prepare your tax returns terminates upon delivery of your completed returns and original documents to you. Please store your supporting documents and your tax returns in a secure place for at least seven years. You may be assessed a fee if you request a duplicate copy in the future.

Taxpayer Responsibilities

• You agree to provide us all income and deductible expense information. If you receive additional information after we begin working on your return, you will contact us immediately to ensure your completed tax returns contain all relevant information.

• You affirm that all expenses or other deduction amounts are accurate and that you have all required supporting written records. In some cases, we will ask to review your documentation.

• You must be able to provide written records of all items included on your return if audited by either the IRS or state tax authority. We can provide guidance concerning what evidence is acceptable.

• You must review the returns carefully before signing to make sure the information is correct.

• Fees must be paid before your tax returns are delivered to you or filed for you. If you terminate this engagement before completion, you agree to pay a fee for work completed. A retainer may be required for preparation of returns. Failure to pay for services rendered after 10 calendar days, can result in the debt being sent to collections. Due to the nature of this work, all sales are final and non-refundable. The filing of a fraudulent chargeback will be result in a police report for fraud and  prosecution in criminal court.


Signatures. By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and accept your obligations and responsibilities and that you understand our responsibilities in preparing your tax returns as explained above. For a joint return, both taxpayers must sign.


Privacy Policy. The nature of our work requires us to collect certain nonpublic personal information about you from various sources. We collect financial and personal information from applications, worksheets, reporting statements, and other forms, as well as interviews and conversations with our clients and affiliates. We may also review banking and credit card information about our clients in the performance of receipt of payment. Under our policy, all information we obtain about you will be provided by you or obtained with your permission. Our firm has procedures and policies in place to protect your confidential information. We restrict access to your confidential information to those within our firm who need to know in order to provide you with services. We will not disclose your personal information to any third party without your express written permission, except where required by law. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in compliance with federal regulations that protect your personal information from unauthorized access. Please contact us with any questions regarding our privacy policy.

CONSENT TO USE OF TAX RETURN INFORMATION


For the purposes of this consent form, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Gibbs Financial Firm


Federal law requires this consent form be provided to you. Unless authorized by law, we cannot use your tax return information for purposes other than the preparation and filing of your tax return without your consent.


You are not required to complete this form to engage in our tax return preparation services. If we obtain your signature on this form by conditioning our tax preparation services on your consent, your consent will not be valid. Your consent is valid for the amount of time that you specify. If you do not specify the duration of your consent, your consent is valid for one year from the date of signature.


If you do not consent, you may still have your tax return prepared and electronically filed by us for a fee. For your convenience, we have entered into an arrangement with third parties to provide qualifying taxpayers with the opportunity to apply for an Electronic Refund Disbursement Service and/or Loan product. To determine whether these products may be available to you, we will need to use your tax return information in order to calculate the amount of your anticipated refund.


If you would like us to use your tax return information to determine whether these products may be available to you while we are preparing your return, please sign and date this consent to the use of your tax return information.


By signing below, you authorize us to use the information you provide to us during the preparation of your 2023 tax return to determine whether to present you with the opportunity to apply for these products and services.

Federal law requires this consent form be provided to you. Unless authorized by law, we cannot disclose your tax return information to third parties for purposes other than the preparation and filing of your tax return without your consent. If you consent to the disclosure of your tax return information, Federal law may not protect your tax return information from further use or distribution.


You are not required to complete this form to engage in our tax preparation services. If we obtain your signature on this form by conditioning our services on your consent, your consent will not be valid. If you agree to the disclosure of your tax return information, your consent is valid for the amount of time that you specify. If you do not specify the duration of your consent, your consent is valid for one year from the date of signature. You have indicated that you are interested in receiving an Electronic Disbursement Service and/or Loan (or collectively, “Products or Services”) from Pathward, National Association. In order to provide you with the opportunity to apply for one of these Products or Services, we must disclose all of your 2023 tax return information necessary for evaluating the request to Pathward. If you request a more limited disclosure of tax return information, you will not be eligible to submit an application request for these Products or Services.


If you would like us to disclose your 2023 tax return information for this purpose, please sign and date your consent to the disclosure of your tax return information.


By signing below, you authorize us to disclose to Pathward all of your 2023 tax return information necessary for the evaluation and processing of your request for a Product or Service. You understand that if you are unwilling to authorize the disclosure and sharing of your tax return information with Pathward, you will not be able to obtain a Product or Service, but you may still choose to have your tax return prepared and filed by us for a fee.
